Mark is a a practising criminal barrister on the North Eastern Circuit. Formerly, Mark was a lecturer at Nottingham Trent University. Mark is the website manager for TAG, is responsible for the management of the Toolkits and TAG Constitution. Mark is also responsible for social media for TAG.

Mark has taught law for a number of years at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Mark specialises in criminal law, evidence and procedure, having published a number of undergraduate textbooks on Criminal Law and Evidence. Mark has vast experience in the management and delivery of conferences; successfully delivering TAG's Third Annual Conference, in conjunction with Nottingham Law School's Centre for Advocacy.

Mark has a particular interest in the measures available to assist defendants in criminal trials. Mark's research reinforces the idea that defendants are failed by the criminal justice system; an equality of arms lacking in the process.
